My heart goes out to Maine State Police Detective Benjamin Campbell who died in the line of service just recently. What was particularly moving is that thousands turned out for his funeral and we got hit at the Marriott with many of his family members including his wife with child. There are many problems with our country and I am not always in agreement with for example the way a lot of officers have treated african americans. However, without the police there is a reality we all take for granted, they protect. Thank you for your service, Detective Benjamin Campbell.
